The 3rd and 4th grade classes went to the Alamo on March 27th. They toured the long barracks, chapel, and statues of famous Texans who took part in the Battle of the Alamo. From there, the students enjoyed some snacks while watching the IMAX movie, Alamo: The Price of Freedom. Although the weather was dreary, the kiddos still excitedly learned the significance of the defeat at the Battle of the Alamo, and how this loss gave Texans the driving force to later win their independence. Remember the Alamo!
